Discovery – Rottnest Island

Discovery Rottnest Island has been developed with the local Rottnest holiday maker very much in mind, but will also cater for visitors to Western Australia who seek out an exceptional natural experience. Accordingly, accommodation options range from affordable family tents through to a true five-star glamping experience.

The 83 eco tents come in four service levels with each tent featuring an ensuite bathroom, pillow-topped bed and furnished private decks. Many tents also include kitchenettes, with the Deluxe tents boasting opulent beachfront views and walk-in wardrobes.

The eco tents are linked via walkways and boardwalks to Pinky’s Beach Club, which is the heart of the property, and the ideal place to capture the sunset over a meal or drink.

The $25 million development is a joint venture between WA’s Baileys Group, and Discovery Holiday Parks. It has undergone an intensive application process to ensure the development preserves the island’s environmental integrity.

Sierra Escape is Mudgee’s first and only Luxury Eco Glamping experience, located only 20 minutes drive to the town of Mudgee.  Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, and breathtaking views – Sierra provides an opportunity to escape from busy city life and immerse yourself in country NSW.

Eco Structures worked with Cam and Tasch to provide the first of a cluster of 4.2m Eco tents with Ensuite Enclosures. Luxury bathroom fixtures and fittings were added onsite as well as the inclusion of a front glazed sliding door. The accommodation is solar powered, connected to a septic system and water tank.

“We wanted to provide an accommodation for guests that was low impact on the environment and seamlessly blended in to the landscape. The Eco-Structure has a simple yet sleek design catering for comfort and luxury which makes the perfect glamping accommodation for our guests. We found the whole process with Eco-structures very stream-lined and efficient, and really helped us with everything from design to build – they were available every step of the way”

Ikara Safari Camp

The only accommodation in Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park. Wilpena Pound Resort is located in the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park, South Australia (429 kilometres north of Adelaide). It is accessible by sealed roads from Adelaide and Port Augusta, or via a Scenic Flight Transfer.

Eco Structures worked with Gary to provide a tailor made solution to his remote accommodation requirements. 15 en-suited Eco Structures and a central dining facility (two 6.3m tents linked with additional deck to provide 120m2 of internal dining space).

“We used Eco-Structures Australia for the 15 luxury en– suited tents as well as the large central dining and gathering place at Ikara Safari Camp in 2014. I am a fan of the Eco-Structures system because while it’s an off the shelf, tried and tested solution, it also provided me with the flexibility to customise, refine and make it our own. Depending on the location and market segment mix, Eco-Structures allows developers the freedom to explore highly individualised outcomes with a great deal of control over development costs.”

Banubanu Wilderness Retreat

Banubanu Wilderness Retreat is located on Bremer Island, which is located 20 kilometres north of Gove Airport in North East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. Banubanu is accessible by boat from the mainland or a scenic light aircraft flight from Gove Airport.

Eco Structures worked with Trevor to enable him to increase his room numbers bringing Banubanu to a new level still keeping in theme of providing his clients with a truly remote area experience. Three Eco Structures were supplied with 4.2 metre floor space and additional decks for customising of en suites.

“We used Eco-Structures Australia for our new 3 luxury en- suited tents  near our beach at Banubanu Wilderness Retreat in 2016. We felt that the Eco-Structures system suited our needs with it’s flexibility for customisation. Our en suites were built as solid units onto the rear decks to give us wet season protection for the tents furniture. Being in a remote location Eco-Structures one off pricing  allowed us a great deal of control over our development costs. Having these new tents has been a game changer for our business, bringing us to a new level”

Cave Hill Creek

Cave Hill Creek hosts camps, walks and weddings for groups in a stunning lake and bush setting at the foot of the Mt Cole Range near Beaufort, 2 hours from Melbourne. It is the perfect location to “Live the Outdoors”.

Eco Structures worked with Cave Hill Creek to provide 6 Deluxe 4.2m Eco tents. Cave Hill Creek designed and installed bespoke bathroom fixtures into the enclosure at the rear of 2 tents, and built out a 7th frame as a communal bathroom block.

“Our 6 Glamping tents have been a hit. Whether they host a bridal party or a bunch of school kids everybody loves to feel close to nature and comfortable – the two are mutually compatible at Cave Hill Creek. We like the Eco-Structure design because it is an engineered, simple off the shelf product, which is quick and easy to erect ourselves. Each layout can be tailored to meet unique and special design needs. And best of all they are a cost effective addition to our guest experience.”

Moreton Island Adventures

Moreton Island is situated 58km North East of Brisbane Queensland. Castaways boasts brilliant glamping tents as well as an on-site store and cafe. Located in the small township of Bulwer just a 20 minute drive North from the MICAT landing point, Just 100 metres from the beach, Castaways Moreton Island is truly the place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life!

Eco Structures worked with Roz (Chief Escape Officer) to provide 11 accommodation units in the form of 3m and 4.2m Deluxe Eco Tents. The tents have been beautifully furnished, complete with queen size bed and ensuite. Perfect hassle free glamping overlooking giant Melaleuca trees.

When we decided to purchase Glamp tents for our small resort on Moreton Island, I wanted to purchase Australian Made if I could. I found Eco-Structures tents were exactly what we needed in a sand/ salt environment .As we are on a sand island with no roads, the ability to transport goods is important. The kits are packaged well, the instructions comprehensive. This made the construction phase quick and easy.  The decision to purchase the ensuite version has proven itself as our glamping options are now far more popular than our units. So much so that we are working on more glamp tents on our site.”

Big4 Inverloch Holiday Park

“The Eco Tents have brought a new dimension of accommodation to our family orientated Holiday Park. We have had them occupied for 38% of this financial year and they have each earned more than our budget end cabins.

Families who have never camped in a tent love staying in them as they can experience a tent environment without having to bring their own camping gear. We find that by having them Air-conditioned with reverse cycle systems means that they are not too hot or too cold to stay in. The En-suites we installed ensure that the camping experience is truly a ‘Glamping’ one.

We recommend the Eco Structures for other park owners who wish to provide a different camping option.”

Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort

“As an expansion to our Eco Resort, Lady Elliot Island was looking for a product that would blend in to the natural landscape and minimise our footprint. Due to the remote location of the island, we needed a product that was certified to withstand the tough conditions of operating a resort 80kms from the mainland.

We were keen to add a couple of Glamping Tents to our accommodation offerings and the feedback from our guests after the first few months has been fantastic! They love the large floor plan and the ability to open up the windows to allow the sea breeze to flow through.”
