The Wilderluxe Lake Keepit project opened over the Easter long weekend, adding eight custom-designed Hybrid Star Gazing Tents to the already stunning Lake Keepit site. This is the first of several upcoming luxury glamping destinations under the Wilderluxe banner, created by Reflections Holidays to offer high-end outdoor escapes in some of the most unique and remote locations across NSW.
Located between Tamworth and Gunnedah, Wilderluxe Lake Keepit is a part of a $4 million regional tourism precinct that shines a light on the biggest untapped advantage of North-West New South Wales: its clear, star-studded skies and untamed natural beauty. With support from the NSW Government and Crown Lands, this innovative project is designed to elevate tourism in the region while offering a unique and intimate glamping experience.
The precinct offers more than just a place to stay—it’s an immersive experience. Guests will enjoy the “Big Sky Dreaming” dinner and an immersive night-sky narration, blending Aboriginal and Western astronomy, curated by local legend Uncle Len Waters. Each of the eight “Star Tents” at Wilderluxe Lake Keepit offers a 5-star experience. Reflections Holidays, the largest holiday park group in New South Wales and the manager of Crown land in the region, has invested significantly in this project to offer a transformative tourism experience. CEO Nick Baker explained that Wilderluxe was created to meet the rising demand for luxury outdoor escapes and to attract both international and local tourists to some of the most beautiful but under-explored areas of the state.
The NSW Government’s investment in the region aims to boost local economies by encouraging more spending in accommodation, food, and leisure activities, thereby creating jobs in tourism and hospitality. As part of this initiative, Wilderluxe Lake Keepit will not only offer premium glamping but will also retain affordable accommodation options for families, ensuring it caters to a wide range of visitors.

Over a year-long collaboration with the client, our team refined the skylight’s positioning, performance, and integration to allow guests to enjoy the stars without compromising comfort. The skylight brings the outdoors inside, enhancing the glamping experience while maintaining high thermal efficiency.
Prefab Ensuite Bathrooms for Quick, Clean Installation
Each Hybrid Tent features a prefabricated ensuite bathroom, built off-site to reduce on-site construction time. The prefabricated unit includes a shower, toilet, and basin, designed for both durability and ease of maintenance. This modular approach ensures that guests experience the utmost convenience and comfort while minimising the environmental impact of the build.
Eco Anchors: Foundations That Respect the Land
All eight tents are securely anchored with Eco Anchors, a no-concrete foundation system that minimizes environmental impact.
